As deadlines approach at a frightening speed, my anxiousness levels are reaching a new high. Usually I am a last-minute kind of guy; I find that I work wonderfully under pressure and my productivity is atleast at 200% than normal. In most cases this has worked, but I have always felt that I cannot really let this become my strategy - "Eh, no issues, I will finish this 20 hour job in the last 1 hour". So, B-School being a long time dream, I decided not to risk it this time and have been ahead of schedule.
However, this brings other anxious factors into play - "Am I being too fast?, Maybe my essays are not good enough? If they were, how could I have finished them so early? I must be doing something wrong, right?" :(. I think I was much better off doing last-minute stuff. Atleast that way you would be anxious in a compressed amount of time than worry forever.
My biggest worry is that I will overdo the essay. Revise infinitely and kill the essay. I need to let go at some point of time. I need to accept that I have done the best I can and just hit the submit button.
Sigh, only if it were that easy.
Looks like you're really making progress on your list there! Nice job! Meanwhile, I couldn't find an email address on your blog, but wanted to ask if you'd be interested in being interviewed by Accepted.com about life as an MBA blogger and applicant. We've read your blog and would love to hear more. Would you please email me -- sarahp AT accepted.com -- so we can chat?

It's a good strategy to let your essays rest for sometime and then go back to them. You really are ahead of time. I still got GMAT to write :(
